Any SDI-12 sensor (up to twenty).
Analog sensors such as 4-20mA sensors and those with a voltage output (both
linear and non-linear). The switched 12VDC output may be used in
combination with these sensors in order to greatly reduce the overall power
consumption of the system by automatically turning them on and off.
The PDAS-III includes a built-in temperature sensor as well as channels
preconfigured for monitoring the power supply voltage and internal Lithium
battery voltage. All these are provided by the on-board 8-channel

The SAT HDR GOES transmitter provides satellite telemetry to the PDAS-III logger. The transmitter is integrated into the logger packaging for NEMA 4,12-rated protection. The logger menu system allows for complete and easy operation of the transmitter.
Groundwater Level Monitoring
PARSE (Pliant Automatic Reeler with Shaft Encoder) is an innovative approach
to groundwater level monitoring. It is more robust, accurate and reliable
than pressure transducer installations. It combines the calibration system
of current groundwater installations with the high resolution and reliability
of a shaft encoder. Current installations of equipment at groundwater and
stilling wells require a device with a water-sensing plumb-bob mounted
to a graduated tape in order to set the initial water level. Regular visits
to the stations are also required in order to ensure that the equipment
is accurate as verified with the “plumb-bob” device.
The PARSE features an automated version of the “plumb-bob”
calibration device combined with the PSE-SDI
encoder. The PSE-SDI provides the fluid tracking as well as the control
algorithms for the DC motor which drives the reel-mounted graduated tape.
These algorithms allow various functions such as: “Measure”, “Hold Position”,
“Reel up”, etc… The resolution of the system is 1/384th of a revolution,
that is, with a 375 mm circumference pulley the resolution is less than

various functions which are otherwise accomplished via SDI-12 commands:
“Measure”, “Hold Position”, “Reel up”, etc…

Shaft Encoder Hardware
Leupold & Stevens compatible shaft encoder hardware is now available
from AMASS Data Technologies. Pulleys and tapes designed for water-level
sensing applications and compatible with Leupold & Stevens equipment.
The pulleys are 375mm in circumference and have three pins 125 mm apart
which engage the punched tape. The nylon-clad steel tapes are graduated
in metric and are punched along their centreline at 125mm spacing.
Standard length of tape is 30 metres but other lengths may be ordered.
When ordered with our PSE-SDI shaft encoder, the
pulley is mounted on an insulating hub thus providing the sensor with electrical
isolation from the water and ensuring lightning protection.

RS232 to SDI-12 communications interface. In its standard configuration
it is a SDI-12 master controller for auto data-buffer retrieval and
setup of sensors by means of simple ASCII drivers on your RS232 host. The

The PCOM-SDI/RTU: Modbus RTU to SDI-12 communications interface. This product allows your Modbus RTU device (eg. SCADA or PLC) to retrieve data from SDI-12 sensors. An RS232 port allows the user to configure the PCOM-SDI/RTU registers and SDI-12 command set.

Submersible Temperature Probe has an input range of -50C to +125C and full-scale
error of +/- 1C. The output range is 0-2.5V. It includes 2 metres
battery charger is designed for optimum maintenance of lead acid/gel acid type batteries in environmental data acquisition installations. The PCHRGR regulates the current from the charging device to the battery in order to maintain it at the proper recommended float voltage of typical gel cell batteries. The charging current is regulated as a function of the load.
